Wednesday afternoon a crazed gunman open-fired in the concourse of Montreal's Dawson College. About 12 people were shot; one is dead while four others are in critical condition. It's not Canada's worst school-shooting, but it is the first major one in a while.

The killer (who was later shot by police) has since been analyzed in-depth by just about every major Canadian newspaper. Today's National Post, for example, devotes a full eight pages to profiling the kid, highlighting his blog posts, analyzing the lyrics of the kinds of music he listened to, describing his favorite video games, and so on. He's probably about the most stereotypical school shooter you could imagine, so all the traditional Columbine-era scapegoats are once again being hauled out.

Here's an exerpt.
